Grumpy Gus - Page 2 & 3

Here's the first splash page, most the rest of the book will be like this (the splashes and Gus's attitude!).

  2. Font size depends on the size of the book. If this will be the same size as a Dr. Seuss/Golden Book, then I'm sure this is a good size.

    While we're on the subject, my suggestion for the type: try and keep it simple. You've got so much wonderful detail in these pages, it would be shame to get distracted by the typesetting. Keep it left-aligned, with normal kerning and even leading. Keep it black or white or at least one color per spread, and try to keep the area behind the type simple, with good contrast against the white or black text. That way, we read the text fast, and then our eyes can focus on the beautiful drawings!
